Based in Paris, he deepens his artistic practice through oil painting and mixed media. His work explores the connections between reality and imagination, symbols and myths, and the visible and the invisible. Through a combination of sculpted relief, natural pigments, and evolving canvases, Julien Claustre creates an alphabet that builds a visual language open to the world.

Drawing—that primal language—sketches a harmony that breathes a soul into every work. Travel shapes one’s gaze and perception while enriching knowledge. A newly discovered horizon or an explored culture becomes a building block of understanding and a pigment in the palette of emotions, tracing—as the journey unfolds—the contours of a universe where matter and spirit meet and merge to create a unique artistic reality. Experimenting with material and line is a philosophical quest, an unceasing search for the soul hidden behind every form.
