Yuri was born in 1969 in Minsk. In 1988 he graduated from the Minsk Art School, in 1996 - the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. Member of the Union of Artists of Belarus, Associate Professor of the Design Department of the Belarusian State University, Associate Professor of the Department of Painting of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
The artist expresses his ideas and emotions through narrative themes. He also has been working on a series of portraits of renowned figures of Belarusian culture. Yuri is the author of the series "Holocaust" and "In Memory of the Town" Winner of the Grand Prix of the International Competition "Holocaust through the Eyes of Artists", 2000 (Minsk, Belarus).
Yuri is also engaged in book graphics and collaborates with numerous Belarusian and Russian publishing houses. More than thirty books with his illustrations have been published (co-authored with Olga Krupenkova).
