I’ve always been fascinated by the Japanese tea ceremony. A simple action in serving others, preparing tea, will show respect for the other person and the one serving himself. That inner peace, concentration, deep meaning of this sacred action reminded me of the scripture: "Whether you drink or eat, do all for the glory of God."
The ceremony in this painting we saw with my husband during the reception at the Embassy of Japan in Beijing dedicated to the Emperor's birthday.
